Los Alamos Friends Of Shelter And Companion Animals Welcomes Submissions For Annual Calendar

It’s time to celebrate animal shelter alumni!
 
Los Alamos Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals is calling on pet owners who have adopted a shelter animal to submit a photo and story to appear in the 2019 Shelter Alumni calendar.
 
Submissions are open for pets either adopted from the Los Alamos Animal Shelter or another shelter whose owners live or work in Los Alamos County. If your pet was featured in a past calendar, you are welcome to submit new photos for 2019.  Please visit lafos.org for rules, tips, and to upload submission.
 
Since 1999, Los Alamos Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals LAFOSCA (formally Los Alamos Friends of the Shelter LAFOS) has provided canine and feline foster homes, funding for catastrophic animal medical care and the spay/neutering program.
 
Assistance provided to rescue groups and privately-owned animals is the priority of LAFOSCA’s work. It works alongside shelter and rescue organizations of Northern New Mexico will help reduce the population of homeless and at risk companion animals by providing assistance directly.
 
The calendars will go on sale in November at local businesses and all proceeds will go directly to help the animals through LAFOSCA programs. So please, get those entries in by Sept. 6.
