‘Los Alamos Friends’ Hosts New Year’s Eve Open House

Celia Browne will be hosting a New Year’s Eve open house for the new social club, Los Alamos Friends, at her home on Arizona Avenue.

The event starts at 6 p.m. and will run until midnight or later. There will be food, wine, punch and treats; anyone attending can bring a bottle of wine or a dish to pass but it’s not required.

Anyone interested in Los Alamos Friends is welcome to join … for information on the group, visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/los_alamos_friends/ or call Celia Browne at 695-5788.

About Los Alamos Friends:

Welcome! Grab a cup of coffee and have a seat … are you single, new to Los Alamos, or just want to make some friends and have a little fun?

Then this is the place for you! While some folks in town were born and raised here, most of us are transplants from all over the U.S. and the world.

Many come here alone, and without family and support, Los Alamos can be a lonely place but this group will help to fill the void, introduce you to new people, and guide you to resources around town.

Once it is established and membership grows, Celia’s aim is to have weekly TGIF meet-ups and hopefully regularly scheduled hikes and pot-luck nights like the “Friends First” group that is so popular in Santa Fe.
