Los Alamos First Responders Rescue Female Juvenile From Fall Off Cliff At Overlook Point In White Rock

LAPD News:

Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD), Los Alamos Fire Department and Classic Air Medical staff responded at approximately 6:33 p.m. Monday, July 17, to Overlook Park in White Rock in reference to a female juvenile falling from a cliff ledge at Overlook Point.

First responders extracted the female juvenile after several hours in a treacherous location.

The juvenile was air-flighted to Albuquerque for treatment.

“I want to personally thank the first responders who responded to this event. LAPD officers who entered the canyon to assist, LAFD high angle rescue displayed amazing teamwork and professionalism to extract the juvenile exercising the utmost care, and Classic Air personnel who landed their helicopter as close to the scene as possible to expedite the patient,” Deputy Chief Oliver Morris said. “Our prayers are with the family, asking for a full recovery of their loved one.”
