Los Alamos Farmers Market News:

The Los Alamos Farmers Market, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020, will kick off the summer market season at a new location and also feature an additional Saturday market throughout the summer.

New Thursday markets will take place 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ashley Pond Park near Central Avenue May through October, and Saturday markets will be held 8 a.m. to noon at the Judicial Parking Lot and run June through September.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, extra precautions will be implemented in accordance with the state and New Mexico Farmers Market Association. This includes proper distancing between booths, food pre-bagged for pickup, masks and gloves for all food handling, and other measures that minimize touchpoints.

Additionally, the Los Alamos Farmers Market will be providing locally made hand sanitizer to each booth, and an electric handwashing station will be available to the public. The public also is encouraged to wear masks when visiting the market.

The May 7 market will feature produce, locally sourced beef, pork, lamb, yak, eggs, a hand sanitizer vendor and much more.
