Los Alamos Family Council CountUP! Week 6

FAMILY COUNCIL News:

Los Alamos Family Council’s Counseling Center has served 355 clients in 4,500 appointments this year alone. Mental and behavioral health services have been delivered to kids as young as 5 up to seniors nearing 80. Services are provided to individuals, couples, and families. Group sessions are also used in treating substance abuse and other issues.

This great work is performed by a clinical team of six licensed mental health counselors and are supported by a psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner.

The council’s clinical team is led by clinical supervisor, Laura Woodring. Other therapists are Karla Palmer, Jamie Thordsen-Monroy, Marianne Elden, Ericka Becker and Jane McConnell. This amazing team of professionals aid clients in addressing their mental and behavioral health needs through a variety of modalities and with varied specialties. To learn more about the clinical team, visit the council’s webpage.

Medication management and psychiatric supports are provided on a part-time basis by Dr. Deepa Nadiga and Barbara deNevers, PMHNP.
