Los Alamos County To Host Public Input Session About Renovations At Picnic Grounds On North Mesa June 4

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Community Services invites the public to an engagement session, 5:30-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, at Fuller Lodge, to gather community input on proposed renovations to the North Mesa Picnic Grounds. Community members can also participate virtually via Zoom.

The area’s facilities—including shelters, restrooms, and other park amenities—are outdated and have been highlighted in both the County’s Integrated Master Plan and ADA Transition Plan as needing upgrades and improved accessibility. The planned renovations aim to modernize the site and ensure compliance with federal accessibility standards.

Residents are invited to share their input, ask questions and provide valuable feedback to help shape the future of this vital community space. The contractor, Sites Southwest, will be collecting feedback from staff, stakeholders, and community members to develop a plan aimed at enhancing recreational opportunities and improving quality of life in Los Alamos County.

For updates on the meeting, Zoom access, and project details, visit the Los Alamos County website.
