COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County is hosting a Contractor Meeting, 1-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave.
This meeting is open to contractors, architects, engineers and other professionals involved in building and construction.
The meeting, titled “Code Compliance Mastery: Tips & Tools for Contractors” will cover key topics such as:
- A review of Los Alamos County’s codes:
- Tips on how to pass inspections:
- When design professional stamps are required; and
- Insulation tips to meet code standards.
The event will feature two guest speakers, Architect Steve Shaw and Professional Engineer Massoud Mogadham, who will share advice for ensuring compliance in future projects.
“This meeting will give professionals an opportunity to clarify key regulations, ask questions, and gain practical tips to meet local code requirements efficiently,” County Plans Examiner Michael Marquez said.
Attendees are encouraged to participate in the open discussion and bring questions regarding code requirements, inspections or design concerns.
This event promises to provide valuable information for all building professionals in Los Alamos County.
