Los Alamos County To Hold Emergency Exercise June 14

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County’s law enforcement, first responders, dispatchers and staff from other County departments will participate Tuesday, June 14 in a functional emergency exercise.

Developed by the Department of Public Utilities, the exercise simulates a threat to the Los Alamos Canyon Dam.

The exercise will test the viability of the County’s Emergency Action Plan for the Los Alamos Canyon Dam.

The exercise will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end by 12:30 p.m. It will be followed by an after-action meeting with exercise participants to assess response effectiveness.
