COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Parks and Open Space Division opened the Camp May campground and day use area on Wednesday May 1 for the summer season.

Camp May is a popular campground for locals and visitors, due to its proximity to the Los Alamos townsite, Forest Service trails and Pajarito Mountain Ski Area.

The day use area is available daily on a first-come, first-serve basis; the pavilion is available to reserve online in the County’s webtrac system; and the campground is available to reserve in-person at the Aquatic Center at 2760 Canyon Road.

The campground is closed in the late fall for the winter season for safety and access reasons.
