Pajarito Pickleball Club News:
Pajarito Pickleball Club board members recently collaborated with Los Alamos County to add pickleball to the County’s Open Gym program. This free opportunity is supported by the club and is open to the public. Open Gym Pickleball is available 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Auxiliary Gym at Los Alamos High School.
The Pajarito Pickleball Club was founded in the fall of 2023 by local players in order to promote and advocate for the sport of pickleball and the value of physical, social and emotional health in the Los Alamos County area. This is a group of community members who enjoy sharing their love of the game. They welcome people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and offer opportunities for learning and practice as well as recreational and competitive play.
More information can be found in the October club newsletter. Interested players can support the club by joining at https://pajaritopickleballclub.org. Annual player memberships are $35 per person. A free friend membership is available to those who wish to participate in clinics and other opportunities to learn the game.
The first annual Pajarito Pickleball Club membership meeting is scheduled for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 at the White Rock Branch Library. Open play will proceed and follow the meeting starting at 4 p.m. at the Piñon Park Courts.
