Los Alamos County Library Board Vacancy


The Los Alamos County Library Board is accepting applications for one vacancy on the Board. 

The upcoming months will be an exciting time as the Library Board will be supporting a strategic planning process that will guide the future of the library for the next four to five years. Activities for the new board member will include playing a role in guiding the writing and promotion of the plan. 

The Library Board meets the first Monday of each month and is a fun and collaborative team that has a history of achieving success, resulting in improved library operations. Before embarking on the strategic planning process, the board’s previous major initiative was providing guidance and support for the White Rock Branch Library building project – which was successfully completed in August 2015 and has resulted in substantially higher usage levels.
