Summer Concert News:

Thanks to the incredible work of nearly 1,000 firefighters and their efforts to contain the Cerro Pelado Fire, the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series presented by Toyota of Santa Fe will be able to proceed as originally scheduled with an opening night of Latin music this Friday, May 20, sponsored by Zia Credit Union, Del Norte Credit Union and the Los Alamos Schools Credit Union.

The Producers and Opening Night Artists of the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series are grateful that the fire nearest to Los Alamos is being tended to with great care, but they also are aware that many families are still being affected and displaced by the Calf Canyon Fire. Fans of the Series and concert performing artists are encouraged to donate to local non-profits helping with disaster relief services. Further, firefighters and their families are encouraged to join us for a night of free music and relaxation alongside a grateful community.

2022 Opening Night This Friday!

The concert season kicks off with something new to the series – free Salsa/Cumbia lessons in front of the stage at Ashley Pond Park, for those who arrive early. The Los Alamos Middle School band will kick off the night with a short set of Latin tunes they’ve been working to perfect under Director Ryan Finn, followed by the opening band Concepto Tambor. Concepto Tambor is a band that has been entertaining fans for years by incorporating rock, hip hop, soul and funk into their percussion-based Afro-Latin grooves.

The headliner for the evening is the nine-piece Latino powerhouse, Nosotros. To make the evening even more special, Nosotros will be joined by the lead singer of the world-famous group Ozomatli, Raul Pacheco. Nosotros is one of the most recognizable Latin bands in the Southwest United States and are the winners of 13 New Mexico Music Awards. Nosotros seamlessly combines Latin rhythms with elements of Rock, Salsa, Jazz, and Cumbia creating an original sound that is unmistakably Nosotros. Come on out and enjoy the Best FREE Summer Concert Series in the State.
