Los Alamos County Fair festivities will be kicking off Friday, Aug.1, at 2 p.m. See below for the full schedule of events.
Friday, Aug. 1
- 2–8 p.m., County Fair Exhibits, Mesa Public Library
- 6–9 p.m., Friday Night Summer Concert Series: Brandon Saiz, Ashley Pond Park
Saturday, Aug. 2
- 9 a.m.–3 p.m., Festival & Fair, Ashley Pond Park
- 10 a.m.–3 p.m., County Fair Exhibits, Mesa Public Library
- 10 a.m., County Fair Parade, Central Ave.
- Pie Baking Contest(PDF, 57KB), Ashley Pond Park
- Entry submission: 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Judging: 12–1 p.m.
- 2–5 p.m., County Rodeo, including watermelon eating contest, Brewer Arena
- Cowboy Dinner & Dance, Los Alamos Sheriff’s Posse Lodge
- 5–7 p.m. — Dinner
- 7–9 p.m. — Dance
Sunday, Aug. 3
- 9 a.m.–12 p.m., Stroll the Stables, North Mesa Stables
- Enjoy a walk around the stables with your family as part of the Los Alamos County Fair and Rodeo! Meet the animals up close and learn about horses, goats, chickens, geese, and lamas, as well as various types of riding. Lots of fun for all ages, and afterwards, stay for day two of the Rodeo!
- 1–5 p.m., Rodeo: Tough Enough to Wear Pink, including watermelon eating contest, Brewer Arena
