Los Alamos County Comprehensive Plan Update Moves into Second Phase With Random Sample Survey

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Comprehensive Plan update is moving into Round Two of public participation events.

Contractor Architectural Research Consultants is sending out 3,000 random-sample surveys to addresses across the county. If you receive a survey, please fill it out either online (preferably) or by mailing back the completed paper survey, with pre-paid postage.

Responses must be submitted before June 4. This date has been extended from May 31 posted in the survey cover letter to give respondents a little additional time. Your input is very much appreciated!

Over the summer the planning team will be conducting a series of public workshops and

Planning and Zoning Commission meetings, as well as display information at some community events and standing committee meetings. The County Council wants to make sure that this plan accurately represents the residents of Los Alamos County’s wishes and citizen participation is crucial and valuable.

The plan’s website, http://www.losalamoscountycompplan2016.com continues to evolve. There you can find news and updates, background information, upcoming meetings schedules, results and pictures from meetings, information about the history of comprehensive planning in Los Alamos County, and other relevant county planning documents.

The upcoming round of community workshops, meetings and events will be announced soon! The County would like to thank all those who participated in the Round One community visioning meetings and hopes to see even more participants in Round Two.
