Los Alamos Community Winds Announces Scholarship

The Los Alamos Community Winds is pleased to announce the 2013 Music-Filled Life Scholarship.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who is enrolled in the instrumental music program at Los Alamos High School as a wind, brass, or percussion student, or if home-schooled can provide evidence of substantial musical activity.

This may include, but is not limited to private lessons, or participation in community music ensembles.

In addition to a  formal application, a performance audition will be held from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center.

The auditions are free and open to the public.

Further information, application requirements, and procedures are available at the Los Alamos High School Career Resource. Applications must be postmarked by April 8.
