The Los Alamos Choral Society is celebrating its 70th anniversary with an active Spring schedule.
The Choral Society is directed by Dr. Mary Badarak and Cindy Little is the piano accompanist. At 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at the Duane Smith Auditorium, the Choral Society will join with the Los Alamos Community Winds and the Los Alamos High School Choirs in a performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
The performance will be directed by Dr. Ted Vives, the director of the Community Winds.
A second performance of the 4th movement of the 9th symphony will be part of the High School Choral Program’s evening concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at the United Church of Los Alamos, the Choral Society will present its annual Spring Concert, entitled “Encore: Favorites Through The Years.”
This concert will be repeated at 1 p.m. on Memorial Day May 27, in the town of Cochiti Lake.
