The Los Alamos Bombshells rugby team won the 2024 State Championship Saturday at the St. Pius X field in Albuquerque.
“The girls worked hard, dug deep and surprised a seasoned team from Rio Rancho,” Head Coach Dan Sheppard said. “We have no departing seniors, with some solid recruiting we will be a power house for years to come.”
“I am so proud of the hard work and determination that these kids have put into their teams. I can’t wait to see what they can do next season,” former Bombshell team member and current Assistant Coach Taylor Pomeroy said.
The Los Alamos Nukes took third during the 2024 State Rugby Tournament Saturday at St. Pius X fields in Albuquerque.
