Los Alamos Auxiliary Fire Brigade Sells T-Shirts to Fund New Equipment

LAAFB News:

The Los Alamos Auxiliary Fire Brigade is selling fire engine red t-shirts with the group’s logo to raise funds for new equipment.

LAAFB has seven members available, at various levels, to participate in search and rescue activities that include ground pounding, 4X4 search and medical response. The group includes a trained ICS section chief.

The LAAFB medical personnel cover local athletic events including football games, foot and bike races, horse shows and rodeos. The Brigade also provides first aid standby for various community events such as Memorial Day ceremonies and the Festival de Los Alamos.

The team includes:

  • Three EMT-Basic level trained personnel
  • One New Mexico First Responder/Wilderness First Aid trained personnel
  • Two members, in addition to those listed above, who have CPR certification

Many Brigade members also participate in community events, often showing off their 1921 LaFrance Fire Engine.
