LAAC News:

Felecia Ford, a Santa Fe based blues trio group, will present an all-ages concert 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at historic Fuller Lodge. The doors will open at 6 p.m.

Ford’s voice has been heard in more than 157 countries worldwide, and she has performed extensively, singing live across the United States and abroad throughout her lifetime.

After having recorded and toured supporting six full-length albums with her rock band, Hundred Year Flood, Ford released her first solo album in 2014 titled “Kissing Booth.” She is presently recording her second solo album titled, “You’re The One,” at Frogville Studios in Santa Fe.

Ford will feature on this album many of her favorite musicians from this area, as well as percussionist John Bush and keyboardist Matt Hubbard, both band members with Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians. Hubbard, who won a Grammy for engineering and producing Willie Nelson’s 1999 hit album, “Rainbow Connection,” will help Ford with co-production on her upcoming album. Ford plans to take some lucky musicians out of the state and abroad to tour in support of “You’re The One” in 2020.

Ford and her bands throughout the years have opened for and shared the stage with some of her idols, including Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Dave Alvin, Charlie Sexton (Bob Dylan’s lead guitarist,) Son Volt, Ozomatli, Jim Lauderdale, Brian Hardgroove and more.

Joining Ford in Fuller Lodge will be guitarist and vocalist, David Turner, a frequent performer at the House of Blues in Chicago, and Andy Kingston, an accomplished keyboard player out of the Boston area who is now performing in the Southwest.

Ford’s uniquely powerful voice and unbridled soulful presence are what make her one of New Mexico’s finest singers to date. Often being called “The Voice” of Santa Fe, Ford is definitely someone who has inspired many of the voices we hear in this region today. Please join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable evening.
