Brian Johnson, a 16-year-old Los Alamos High School student, is an Electro Dance Music (EDM) Disc Jockey (DJ) and music producer. 

Johnson is enrolled at the Berklee College of Music earning his bachlors degree in music production as well as completing high school.

Also known as Turbul3nc3, Johnson has been Djing since the age of 12 and started producing music about two years ago. He has two albums and three singles on iTunes and performs at a 21 and under venue in Albuquerque most weekends. 

Recently, an opportunity of a lifetime has knocked on his door, a chance to play at the Sun City Music Festival (SCMF) in El Paso, Texas. More than 10,000 people attend the SCMF. All new Mexico DJ’s were invited to join a completion. Thirty-four local NM DJ’s took the challenge, including Johnson (Turbul3nc3). As of today, he is in second place.   

“To win this competition would be amazing. It would be like being drafted to the NBA. It would be amazing to play in front of thousands of people and meet some of my favorite DJs,” Johnson said.
