New Beginnings Church News:

Local shed hunters Shawn Amburgey and Cory Miller held a fundraiser Saturday to raise funds for needy families in the community.

Amburgey, lead pastor at New Beginnings and also an antler buyer, paid cash for deer and elk antlers donated by fellow shed hunters. The proceeds were then given to the church to help families with utility payments, food and gifts for Christmas.

This was the first year of this event and they raised more than $300 thanks to those who gave up one of their own antlers and others who donated cash to the cause. Both Amburgey and Miller are planning to make this an annual event and hope it grows each year to help others through difficult times.
