Local residents John Baillie and Dan Gandee will be recognized next week as part of the 250 Flags Honoring New Mexico Heroes event marking America’s 250th birthday. 

Baillie is being recognized for his volunteer dedication to seniors through the Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization and 30 years of service to the Lasses and Lads of Enchantment Barbershop Chorus. 

Gandee is being recognized for his service in the United States Marine Corps. He made numerous contributions on overseas assignments. Today, he volunteers teaching veterans the craft of fly tying as part of the Healing America’s Heroes program.
