Local GOP Elects New Officers

Los Alamos Republican Party News:

The Los Alamos Republican Party elected new officers during its monthly meeting this evening at the Best Western Hilltop House Hotel.

Jordan Redmond was elected chair of the Los Alamos Republican Party, replacing Ron Dolin who resigned last month after serving nearly three terms.

Bill McKerley was elected 1st vice chair, filling the vacancy created when Redmond became chair.

Joe Archuleta remains 2nd vice chair.

Norma Tech continues to serve as treasurer and Mike Weaver as secretary.

The officers will serve until the party’s next election in 2013.

Jeff Byrd, candidate for the U.S. House of Representative, Third Congressional District, was the invited speaker at this evening’s meeting.

Byrd shared his views of representing New Mexico and returning common sense to Congress and upholding the Constitution of the United States.

GOP candidates running for Los Alamos County Council are scheduled to speak at the GOP’s next monthly meeting set for 7 p.m., April 19 at the Best Western Hilltop House Hotel.

Individuals interested in making a difference in the county and state are welcome to attend.
