Local Documentary to Feature Powerful Female Snowboarders and Skiers

Staff Report:

A local group is in pre-production for an inspirational short film about female snowboarders and skiers of all ages who have been or currently are involved in:

  • Competitive Freestyle Snowboarding
  • Competitive Snowboard Racing
  • Competitive Alpine Ski Racing
  • Recreational Big Mountain Snowboarding/Skiing
  • Recreational Master Mogul/Bump Skiing

“As a father of two daughters, I believe when daughters of any age see how gracefull and inspiring they are, the fire of their personality, style and grace is emboldened to beautifully impact the world as that fire shines bright with self contained confidence,” said Michael P. Young, who is producing and directing the film. “This film is a labor of love for all of us involved. We need financial donations to help fund the project.”

The film’s length is approximately 40-60 minutes and will be distributed at the Reel Deal Movie Theater, on DVD, Internet, Social Media and a public showing at Duane Smith Auditorium.
