The Los Alamos Community of Atheists will host a public discussion meeting at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday May 23 at Mesa Public Library in Meeting Room #1.
The title of the discussion is, “Challenges to Memetic Progress in an Age of Insecurity.”
The discussion includes:
- A brief overview of Memetics, and an explanation of classical religions as faith based Memeplexes,
- Advantages and disadvantages of classical religious structures in the current environment,
- A discussion of some of the pros and cons of faith basing, and alternatives, and
- Corresponding challenges facing Atheists/Agnostics/Humanists.
The meeting is open to the public.
