Local Climate Advocates Invite You To Celebrate Earth Day In Los Alamos

CCLNM News:

Northern New Mexico’s local climate advocates are excited to see you at the Los Alamos County Earth Day Festival 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, and the PEEC Earth Day Festival 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 26, in Los Alamos.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonpartisan, grassroots climate advocacy organization that works within our communities and Congress to get good climate laws passed. We train and support our volunteers to build relationships with elected officials, the media, and their local community. This Earth Month, our chapter members are out tabling around the state to talk to you about things like:

Building efficiency enhancements. Interested in reducing carbon emissions from your home (or maybe just lowering your energy bills)? We have resources to help make it happen!

Interacting with your elected officials. Want to get your member of Congress’s attention? We’ve got concrete actions you can take today to make it happen.

Connecting with other climate advocates. We’re part of a state-wide and national network of climate advocates who are here to support you.

Stop by our table at these annual celebrations for fun, food, and community organizations based in and around Los Alamos. We’ll be excited to see you. Plus, at PEEC we’ll be supporting the Los Alamos High School Eco Club and fundraising for Los Alamos students to join us on Capitol Hill in July!

(P.S. Curious about our Earth Month events? Check them out here!)
