Lobos Move On To Third Round While Aggies Are Out At March Madness


The University of New Mexico Lobos have won their second round game in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Lobos, in a closely contested game, beat Long Beach 75-68 in Portland Oregon.  The fifth seed Lobos, with a record of 28-6, will move on to the third round of the Western Division Tournament when they take on the fourth seed Louisville Cardinals, with a record of 27-9, in a game scheduled for Saturday at 7:40 PM in Portland Oregon.


Meanwhile, the New Mexico State Aggies where eliminated from the tournament  in a defeated by the University of Indiana. The score was 66-79. The defeat was predicted by President Barack Obama. President Obama has also predicted that the Lobos will defeat the Cardinals in Saturday’s game to move on to the Sweet Sixteen Regional Semifinals, where Obama believes the Lobos will finally be defeated, not moving on to the Elite Eight Regional Finals.
