Livy Snyder of Los Alamos has been awarded the highly competitive Peggy Guggenheim Museum Internship in Venice, Italy for Fall 2018.
The Peggy Guggenheim Internship Program engages students in the daily operations of a museum by engaging with staff members, educating public visitors and participating in museum projects. The internship culminates in the participant delivering a seminar based on their research during their time at the museum.
Snyder grew up in Los Alamos and is attending the University of Colorado-Denver’s College of Arts and Media majoring in both Studio Art and Art History. She recently won the Edgy Award at Edge Contemporary Art Gallery in Denver, earning her a place in the Associate Artists showcase in November. She also is an intern at the Denver Art Museum’s Modern and Contemporary Art Department and the Emmanuel Gallery.
