COMMUNITY News:

In early 2018, Jonathan Lathrop, president of Live in Los Alamos, stumbled upon a video of Griffin House playing his song “The Guy That Says Goodbye to You is Out of His Mind” solo on his couch, part of a series promoted by a Nashville journalist.

“The song was touching, but simple, and came across so sincere,” Lathrop said. “At the end, Griffin flashed a smile that I thought was incredibly sweet. I was certain only a nice person could smile like that so I reached out to his agent that evening!”

That September House made the trip to Los Alamos to play for a crowd of 75 people at Fuller Lodge.
Lathrop’s instincts proved correct; House had the crowd enthralled by his music (the sincerity of his lyrics and command of the guitar garnered much attention) and his cheeky banter and stories from the road and life. Oh, and he was indeed an incredibly nice person.

That’s why Lathrop is so pleased to announce that Griffin House will make his return to Los Alamos on Saturday, April 18. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the music will begin at 7 p.m.

With nine albums to his credit, a couple decades of touring, and even a documentary film about him, House has much to draw from for the Los Alamos show. Even those who caught him the first time he was on the hill, the April 18 show will feel fresh. Bathtub Row will be pouring beer and wine and a meal will be offered, though drinks and the meal are not included in the price of the ticket. (More information on the meal will be available at liveinlosalmos.com as the show gets nearer.

Tickets can be purchased for $25 at Los Alamos Schools Credit Union, or for $28.50 at liveinlosalamos.com. Charge will be $30 at the door.
