Growth and New Beginnings

This marks a busy and exciting second year for Little Bird Yoga Studio. To accommodate growing demand, the studio recently moved out of the Exit Realty Building into its new, more spacious location on Trinity Drive near the Los Alamos Public School Administration Building.

The new space offers a brighter environment and ground-floor entrance, making it more accessible for individuals with mobility concerns.

The studio’s class schedule has also expanded to include additional in-person sessions, including three lunchtime classes designed for busy professionals and active seniors. The Seated Stability and Strength class is now offered in person and is chair-assisted, incorporating mobility and strength work to support a wide range of participants. In 2024, the studio hosted specialized workshops focusing on breathing techniques and prenatal preparation.

Looking Ahead: 2025 Highlights

As part of their commitment to making yoga accessible to everyone, Little Bird Yoga Studio is launching a beginner’s workshop Jan. 18, 2025. This four-week series is ideal for those new to yoga or looking for a refresher. The workshop will be led by Kathy Gurskey, an experienced instructor with a passion for teaching new yogis.

Additionally, Heather Quinn is introducing Yoga Therapy classes for individuals and groups.

These classes will address topics such as neurodiversity and chronic pain, dysautonomia support, gender transition support, and autoimmune diseases with a focus on improving mobility and overall well-being.

Information about both topics can be found on the Little Bird website.

The open house is the perfect opportunity to explore the studio, try out different class styles, and meet the instructors. Whether a seasoned practitioner or curious about starting a yoga journey, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss this chance to connect, celebrate and take a step toward wellness in the new year!
