The Los Alamos County Library System has released its seventh in a series of posts outlining tips and tricks for using the new Library catalog
To search for an author in the catalog:
- Choose Library Search in the first box
- Choose “Author” in the second box
- Type the author’s last name, first name or type the first name followed by the last name. The results will be the same.
If you want to choose a video based on a book by a particular author, after entering the search you may Limit Search Results, by choosing Collection – select DVD and choose Include. The DVDs that are attached to the author will display first. Try a search for the author “Stephen King” as an example. This search will also work for directors and actors in films.
If you want to include ebook or eaudiobook titles for the author of your choice, choose “Everything” in the first search box. If you want to see only ebook or eudiobook titles, choose “Digital Catalog” in the first search box.
