I am writing to offer my wholehearted recommendation for Tamara Hinckley in support of her candidacy for the school board (District 2). I have had the privilege of knowing Tamara since moving to Los Alamos, and over the years, my respect and admiration for her have only grown.

Tamara made a courageous and inspiring career change to become a teacher, dedicating herself to the calling of education. After retiring from the classroom, she continued her commitment to students by serving in the school district’s business offices, bringing her insight and integrity to the administrative side of education.

Her passion for helping students learn is evident in everything she does. Tamara has always been a strong advocate for both students and educators, and she understands the challenges and opportunities within our schools from multiple perspectives. Her experience as a teacher and administrator gives her a balanced and informed voice – one that will serve our community well on the school board.

On a personal level, my trust in Tamara runs deep. My wife and I considered her and her husband as the people we would entrust with raising our own children should anything happen to us when they were young. That kind of trust speaks volumes about her character, compassion, and commitment to doing what is best for children.

I believe Tamara Hinckley will be a thoughtful, dedicated, and effective member of the school board. She will represent students, teachers, and administrators with wisdom and care. I encourage our community to support her in this important role.
