To our Christian brethren at First Baptist Church of Los Alamos,

Please know that you are in the hearts and prayers of all of us here at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church as you work through the grief, shock, pain, fear, humiliation and horror of recent revelations. 

The extended Catholic family throughout the world has had to endure so many agonies of such—and even worse—betrayals of trust in recent years, especially of our most innocent…by some of our most trusted. 

Such incidents tar all of our Christians faiths with the same brush in the minds of those outside, shattering the faith of many inside, and sowing seeds of doubt and distrust among all. This, as you know, is the plan of the Adversary—the “father of lies”: to destroy the faith of those who seek truth and salvation through our discipleship in Christ. We pray God send His grace to heal your community, and pray and exhort you remain strong in your faith despite this trial.

I daresay that all of our Christian brethren, and many others throughout our community—regardless of denomination or faith—give assurance that our thoughts and prayers, and certainly our love and support, are with you.
