As I watched my 9-year-old daughter pedal off to school this morning, I wanted to say thank you to the Los Alamos County Little League Board for the bike she won at opening day last year.

 

She has ridden it to school every day since she won it (except for her orchestra days – we can’t figure out how to get her viola and backpack to school with a bike on those days).

 

She’s very proud of her bike and loves riding it around White Rock.

 

We have enjoyed being part of the Los Alamos Little League over the years, and I wanted to send you all a note of encouragement. I know that you have carried a lot of burdens on behalf of our kiddos and this organization, and I appreciate all the work you do. I also know that the critical and negative voices can be louder than the positive and encouraging ones, so please know that for every loud negative voice, there are more quiet positive ones.

 

My family’s experience with Los Alamos Little League over the years has been largely positive. My kids have made friends on their different teams, and my husband and I have made friends in the stands.
