I am writing to express my strong support for David Hampton in the upcoming election for a position on the University of New Mexico–Los Alamos Advisory Board. David brings a deep understanding of our community and a clear awareness of the role and potential of higher education in our region. He currently serves as an active member of the UNM-LA Advisory Board and, prior to his election, regularly attended board meetings for many years as an engaged community member. David brings the experience, insight, and dedication necessary to serve our students, faculty, and broader community with integrity and vision.

I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to all the candidates participating in this election. As the former Chancellor of UNM-LA, I understand the importance of having qualified and committed individuals on the Advisory Board. These elected leaders provide essential guidance that helps shape the future of the campus. UNM-LA, and our entire community, have greatly benefited from the outstanding service of many past board members.

I offer my wholehearted support for David Hampton in this election. I am confident he will continue to serve with a thoughtful, collaborative approach. His longstanding involvement in various community roles gives him a valuable perspective on how UNM-LA can effectively serve this area. He will advocate for strategic areas of growth, while also maintaining a focus on fiscal responsibility and academic excellence.
