Letter To The Editor: Sharon Stover Is Always Available For Her Community

By LAURA and RANDY ERICKSON
Los Alamos

We urge you to support Sharon Stover for House District 43 State Representative. We have worked with Sharon on the United Church’s Mexico Mission for years, and through that experience, we saw her dedication and leadership in action.

The Mexico Mission mobilizes volunteers from Los Alamos to build homes in a remote area in Mexico. There is no electricity in this area, and all the construction must be done manually. Over 140 homes have been completed in the past 30 years.

Sharon has participated in this effort many times. She has always been willing to help with whatever was needed, from supporting fundraising events, driving a carload of volunteers to Puerto Peñasco or cooking for 60 hungry workers. Sharon genuinely cares about people, especially those who need help.

New Mexico needs Sharon in the Legislature. As a legislator, we know Sharon will look at all sides on an issue and make decisions based on what is best for the state. Sharon has an unmatched record of service and accomplishments for our Northern New Mexico community. Much of her work is performed quietly, behind the scenes and with little fanfare. To Sharon, it’s the results that matter, not the recognition.

Sharon Stover is the leader we need to represent our district. Please join us in voting for Sharon Stover as our State Representative.
