I’m writing this letter in support of our youth.

I congratulate them on seeing through the lies that the current administration is peddling. Good on them for recognizing a cold-blooded murder when it floods their social media feeds for the second time in three weeks.

I want to encourage them to engage and exercise their First Amendment right to protest. 

That being said, times are dangerous. I am confident, and yet I put this out preemptively to ensure that our local government and our local police department will be present and vigilant at any and every local protest defending the safety, security and rights of every person protesting. Anything less is an abdication of responsibility and duty.
