Recently, we re-discovered the meaning of family and community during another challenge we faced operating a family-owned small business. Our restaurant, the Pajarito Brewpub and Grill, experienced a gas leak that forced us to call on the community of Los Alamos and our family and friends for support.

We wanted to publicly recognize and thank those that helped us get through a rough day.

Thank you to the Los Alamos Fire Department whose staff worked quickly and professionally to respond to the incident and locate the problem. Thank you to Los Alamos County for helping us contain the problem and find quick solutions that allowed us to remain open for the day. Thank you to Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op for graciously lending us their propane grills without hesitation. Now, that’s what you call a co-op in action! Thank you to the wonderful staff of Pajarito Brewpub and Grill. You are the life and face of the business and we are so proud of your hard work and professionalism. Thank you to our family and friends. You are the inspiration and heart of why we work so hard, day in and day out, to run a successful business.

We thank the Los Alamos Daily Post for being a community minded newspaper. They checked several times throughout the day to accurately report on the status of our situation during this challenging day.

Thank you to the community of Los Alamos, our beloved hometown. Your support of our business has been our livelihood and we are so pleased to serve you. We look forward to a bright future of providing this community with quality service.

A special thanks to Santa Fe Mechanical and William Apgar who worked a hard day alongside us in the hot sun and wind, without much complaint, to solve the problem. You both went above and beyond the call of duty.

Owning and operating a small business is a challenge to say the least. Being a part of a community whose citizens, officials, and business owners realize the value of a small businesses’ success is something special.

Thank you!!!
