Letter To The Editor: Love Of The Community, Sean For School Board District 3

By LYDELL BROWN
LAPS Parent and Volunteer

Without any hesitation, Sean Stanfield is the best candidate for School Board District 3. I have known Sean for over 10 years, raising children together and spending countless hours volunteering for the Los Alamos County Community. Sean loves Los Alamos County. He is proud to call our community home. He and his family have been staples of the soccer, basketball, and baseball/softball programs in the community for over a decade. Whether it is lining fields, providing a home for team dinners, driving players to away games, everyone knows that Sean is always there to support our kids and parents. It does not matter to him what background the player and parents come from, he is always engaging and open to helping the team achieve success. I have no doubt that he will bring this passion and support to LAPS students, faculty, and parents.

This is why he is the best choice to represent District 3 on the school board. Sean is in it to improve the wellbeing of all members of the Los Alamos Public School system. He’s not interested in tooting his own horn. He’s about enacting a positive trajectory for our amazing community. He’s a family man and a Hilltopper to the bone. He has seen the importance of scholastics in not only paving the way for the youths of the community to excel in college, but also preparing them for any endeavor they may choose to pursue after their primary education is complete. Sean knows we need plumbers, electricians, and carpenters, just as much as lawyers, doctors, and scientists.

Sean will bring a positive perspective to the school board. He’s about kids and parents. That is the responsibility of the school district. From the highest performer to our special needs students, Sean will represent them all with honesty, inclusion, integrity, and most of all love for our community and its future success. He’s not here to put another feather in his cap. He is here for all of us and our children, our most treasured commodity. He wants to bring in and retain quality administration, teachers, and coaches to guide our kids through the tough years of adolescence and equip them with the tools needed to be high quality individuals in our community and beyond.

A vote for Sean is not just a vote for Mr. Stanfield, it’s a vote for our kids. It’s a vote for honesty, inclusion, integrity, and community love. Come meet Sean for his Meet & Greet at SALA Event Center from 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Respectfully fellow Los Alamos County Residents.
