Letter To The Editor: LAAC Thanks Los Alamos!

By CHRIS MONTEITH
Interim Executive Director
Los Alamos Arts Council

Los Alamos Arts Council would like to take this time to thank all of the people who have helped to make the events at LAAC a roaring success.

Over the past six months, we have had several events that have required the help of other organizations in town, as well as the assistance of many volunteers.

Our number one Thank You goes to our board members and their families, who spend many hours in preparation, as well as time staffing each event. Without their time and dedication, we could not present our events to the level we hope to present to the community.

The Arts Council is fortunate to have a wonderful group of volunteers who assist us with our events. Among them are Marlane Hamilton, Patrice Goodkind, Lisa Lloyd, Lori Dauelsberg, Don Monteith and Luckey, as well as several students from the LAHS and LAMS. We could not manage these events without their help. Specifically, we would like to thank Aidan, Isaac, Xavier, Jeffrey, Nolan, Haley, Troy and Peyton. We also send our heartiest thanks to Monica Jean and “The House of Boo” for their fantastic Pumpkin Glow Display.

The Arts Council often provides food to our patrons. We send our warmest thanks to Mia Holsapple with Chartwells Dining and Eric Duran with Houdini’s Kettle Corn who provided food, snacks, and beverages for events.

The staff, volunteers, and monitors with Crossroads Bible Church help us present Missoula Children’s Theatre, especially Shawna Harrison who works tirelessly to provide the best experience for the directors and participants. We also wish to thank Smiths Marketplace, for their support of the Pumpkin Glow, and the use of their patio for the Pumpkin Carving Party. The Arts Council thanks the staff and monitors at Los Alamos Middle School for their time spent helping us with various aspects of the Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair. Rentals coordinator Trey Pereyra was available at a moment’s notice to help us. He made the event possible by his willingness to work with us and his ability to make quick changes.

Los Alamos Arts Council thanks members of the community for supporting us this summer and fall. Without your support, these events could not happen. We look forward to seeing you for our wonderful events this winter and coming spring!
