Letter To The Editor: Endorsing Sharon Stover

Former County Councilor
Former School Board Member
When I was on the school board I learned of a program called “Character Counts”.
Sen. Pete Domenici endorsed “Character Counts” much as he has endorsed my friend Sharon Stover for state representative. I have known Sharon Stover for over 30 years. I worked with her on the County Council, the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board, Los Alamos Youth Leaders, the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation and Kiwanis.
We even participated as a team in the Los Alamos Triathlon! Sharon Stover’s character counts!
Sharon is trustworthy; you can count on Sharon! Sharon treats everyone with respect; she listens about your issue whether you’re a teen, a senior citizen or a senator.
Sharon is responsible; she guided our county through the perils of the Cerro Grande and Las Conchas forest fires. Sharon is fair; she supports what is right regardless of the politics. Sharon cares; she has knocked on thousands of doors to learn of the concerns of the voters of the 43rd district. Sharon has demonstrated her citizenship through her service on the Los Alamos County Council, as County Clerk and the state’s Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee.
I am especially impressed by Sharon’s service as the President of the New Mexico Association of Counties (NMAC). I was a member of NMAC when I was on the County Council and Sharon was elected to lead that diverse body of elected officials. This tells me that she will be able to get the various elements of the New Mexico legislature to cooperate.
Sharon is hard-working, organized and sharp as a tack! Please join me in voting for Sharon Stover!
