Letter To The Editor: David Hampton – A Honest And Transparent Voice For UNM-LA Advisory Board

I am writing this letter in support of David Hampton for the UNM-LA Advisory Board.

For all the time I have known Mr. Hampton I have found him to be a very honest and transparent person. He serves with integrity in all aspects of community involvement and local boards such as the LA Co-op Board and the LA retirement community board. He is also a volunteer with trail maintenance at Bandelier and Santa Fe National Forest.

I believe that as a retiree from LANL and a long-time resident of Los Alamos, he has first hand knowledge and experience to represent the future of our education. Supporting our community college campus will serve the needs of our youth and grow local businesses.

I trust that Mr. Hampton would be a great person to champion a skilled workforce for our town. He aims to strengthen and expand training for welders, rad techs for LANL, and nurses for our local retirement homes. We need his advocacy to fully fund our concurrent high school and college credit programs.

The UNM-LA Advisory Board is critical to building our local community therefore I strongly encourage your vote for David Hampton.
