The League of Women Voters of Los Alamos and the American Association of University Women invite the community to Fuller Lodge for the 2023 Legislative Preview 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5.  

Legislators scheduled to participate in the preview include Rep. Christine Chandler and Senators Roberto Gonzales and Leo Jaramillo/ The have agreed to share their views on the upcoming session.  

In addition, Associate Director Kristina Fisher of Think New Mexico (TNM), will explain TNM’s legislative recommendations for education reform in the state. All speakers will answer questions from the audience.

The 2023 New Mexico Legislative Session begins Jan. 17 in Santa Fe and continues for 60 days, ending March 18. 

Bills may be pre-filed beginning Jan. 3.
