5:35 PM – 5:40 PM Project Introduction: Department of Public Utilities to introduce Project Design Team (Bohannan Huston Inc and AQUA Engineering), Project Briefing and Proposed Schedule
5:40 PM – 6:00 PM: Project Goals, Proposed Improvements and Schedule, NMED discussion of the EID
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: public questions and answers, and public comments
Purpose: The Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities has been granted funding from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan program to replace the existing waste water treatment facility in White Rock. Public comment on the proposed project in White Rock is being sought at the January 21, 2021 Public Hearing. For those unable to participate, Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities will accept written public comment until January 21, 2021 via email to Julie.Williams@lacnm.us.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to present applicable laws and/or regulations, to review the draft preliminary engineering report and environmental information
document, seek public comment, identify issues of concern, present the range of alternatives considered, and enlist public participation in development of the project plan.
