NOTICE OF ELECTION BOARD MEMBERS (aka Poll Workers) STANDBY LIST

Notice is hereby given that the Los Alamos County Clerk will be appointing Election Board Members (also known as Poll Workers) for the 2021 Regular Local Election to be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Appointments will be made for all 21 precincts in Los Alamos County at the following consolidated polling locations (referred to as Vote Centers): Five (5) Election Day Vote Centers: Municipal Building (estimated 11 Precinct Board Members); White Rock Town Hall (estimated 11 Precinct Board Members); LAC Golf Course (estimated 11 Precinct Board Members); Betty Ehart Senior Center (estimated 11 Precinct Board Members); and University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (estimated 11 Precinct Board Members). Two (2) Early Vote Centers: Municipal Building (estimated 10-30 Precinct Board Members) and White Rock Town Hall (estimated 10-20 Precinct Board Members). One (1) Absentee Board: Municipal Building (estimated 10 Precinct Board Members). We will be conducting this election with in-person voting, while following any COVID Safe Practices (CSP) that are in place at the time of the election.

To serve as a poll worker you must either be registered to vote, or be 16 or 17 years of age and have your parents’ or guardian’s permission. Attendance at a training session is required. The rate of pay ranges from $62.50 to $200.00 per day depending on job duties, shift length and shift type.
