NOTICE OF ELECTION BOARD MEMBERS (aka Poll Workers) STANDBY LIST

Pursuant to NMSA 1-2-9, notice is hereby given that the Los Alamos County Clerk will appoint Election Board Members (Poll Workers) for the 2023 Regular Local Election to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Appointments will be made for all 23 precincts in Los Alamos County at the following consolidated polling locations (Vote Centers): Two (2) Early Vote Centers: Municipal Building (estimated 10-30 Precinct Board Members) and White Rock Town Hall (estimated 10-20 Precinct Board Members). Five (5) Election Day Vote Centers: Municipal Building (estimated 10 Precinct Board Members); White Rock Town Hall (estimated 7 Precinct Board Members); LAC Golf Course (estimated 9 Precinct Board Members); Betty Ehart Senior Center (estimated 5 Precinct Board Members); and University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (estimated 7 Precinct Board Members). One (1) Absentee Board: Municipal Building (estimated 7 Precinct Board Members). For each voting day, each site’s Election Board is composed of one (1) Presiding Judge, two (2) Election Judges, and two (2) or more Election Clerks.

To serve as a poll worker you must be registered to vote or be 16 or 17 years of age. Attendance at a training session on October 18, 2023 is required. The rate of pay is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on job duties.
