Lead Teller Valeria Williams has served customers for 17 years at Enterprise Bank & Trust in Los Alamos and White Rock.

“I really enjoy assisting customers old and new, interacting with them and sharing a smile,” Williams said. “Some of our customers bring in their dogs, which is a delight! I also like teamwork and team building with my colleagues.”

Williams began her career as a Call Center Representative in 2006 with Los Alamos National Bank before it became Enterprise Bank & Trust in 2018.

In her role as a Call Center Representative, Williams assisted customers over the phone with their needs. She went on to work in Loan Servicing and later as a Financial Service Representative. In that role Williams opened accounts, closed accounts, handled CDs, ordered debit cards, issued cashier’s checks and money orders, and assisted with safe deposit boxes and notary services.

White Rock Branch Manager Cheryl Vigil described what it is like to work with Williams.

“The staff and I here in White Rock are grateful that we have had the privilege of working with Val,” Vigil said. “She’s friendly, kind, and has a heart of gold. Val will treat everyone like family, whether it’s her coworkers or clients they all get treated alike. As Val’s manager I would like to say, ‘Thank you Val, we are grateful and pleased for all the years of hard work and dedication that you have put in with us here at Enterprise Bank & Trust.’”

Liddie Martinez, President – Los Alamos Region and Director of Community Engagement for Enterprise Bank & Trust also has known Williams and observed her work ethic for several years.

“Valeria is a dedicated associate who understands our systems and is ever vigilant in delivering superior customer service,” Martinez said. “Her customers know her well and can count on her impeccable service and friendly smile every time.”

As Lead Teller at the White Rock Branch, Williams processes deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, money orders, wire transfers and foreign currency. She also orders debit cards, handles fraud reports, closes accounts, processes image reports and assists customers with safe deposit boxes. On one occasion in her nearly two-decade career in the banking industry, Williams experienced an attempted bank robbery in action. The would-be thief ended up leaving the bank empty handed but the encounter was definitely unpleasant none the less, she said. 

“You don’t know how you are going to react until it happens,” she said.

Williams said that in her free time she enjoys visiting new places and seeing new things, spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, family and friends.
