Laura Loy
BUSINESS News:
Zia Credit Union has announced that Laura Loy joined its team this week as its marketing and business development manager.
Loy comes to the position from the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation, where she served as executive director since April 2017.
Loy has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from UC Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in international business from UC San Diego. She has 20 years of experience in marketing, business development and related fields.
Loy began her career as a marketing analyst at Cheap Tickets, Inc. Since then, she has mostly worked for startup companies and non-profit organizations.
“Transitioning to Zia Credit Union felt like the right move,” Loy said. “I am still in the not-for-profit realm, but I’m just shifting my focus to serving our members and the community. I appreciate that Zia is committed to supporting education and the communities it serves, so I look forward to continuing to have an impact in my new role.”
Growing up in this area gives Loy the advantage that she understands northern New Mexico. Zia Credit Union serves members living, working or worshiping in Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos counties, as well as the greater Pojoaque Valley.
“Northern New Mexico is unique and special,” Loy said. “Zia’s mission is to empower generations of northern New Mexico families to achieve their dreams through personalized service, education, and lending, with our members’ best interest at heart. That resonates with me.”
Zia Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative providing financial services to approximately 11,000 members who live, work or worship in Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Pojoaque or Santa Fe counties. To find out more, visit ziacu.org. Zia Credit Union has offices in Los Alamos and Española.
