This week is your last chance to see Los Alamos Public Schools student artwork in Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library. The show closes Monday, April 8. LAPS All Schools Student Art Show highlights artwork created by local student artists at the elementary, middle school and high school levels.

This art exhibit happens annually in March to honor National Youth Art Month.

The LAPS art team, led by Stephanie Rittner from Pinon Elementary, is composed of ten talented educators. Mary Grace, Libby Lovejoy, and Dottie Lopez make up the high school art team. Claire Stewart and Lisa Fisher head up the middle school art team. Your elementary art team is Andrea Lynch from Chamisa, Jesse Ross from Mountain, Stephen Parise from Barranca Mesa, Stephanie Rittner at Pinon, and long-term substitute Holly Robinson at Aspen.

Step Up Gallery is on the upper level of Mesa Public Library, 2400 Central Avenue. The gallery hours are the same as the library hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free and open to the public.
