Los Alamos Public School announces that the last day of school this year is May 25 for elementary and middle school students this year.
Because of snow cancelations and hosting a student council conference, high school students must make-up 8.5 hours of instructional time. LAMS students and elementary students have met the Public Education Department’s instructional time requirements, so there will be no change in their school calendar.
The LAHS students will make-up 370 minutes May 26. In addition, LAPS will add five minutes of instructional time to every school day from April 4 to May 11.
- All teachers and school personnel will work May 26 to make-up a snow day
- LAHS students will attend school May 26 to make-up instructional time
- The school day at the high school will be extended by five minutes of instructional time beginning April 4 and ending May 11 (4th period will end at 2:40 p.m. instead of 2:35 p.m.).
